Job summary

Majid Al Futtaim Entertainment in Dubai is seeking a Barista to join our Operations team. You will prepare and serve high-quality beverages, maintain presentation standards, and ensure prompt, friendly service to guests in a busy venue.

Responsibilities include knowledge of menu items, upselling, maintaining cleanliness, monitoring stock, and adhering to food safety regulations while contributing to memorable guest experiences and the overall success of the team.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in hospitality or customer-facing roles.
• Basic knowledge of beverage preparation and coffee-making.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Certificate, Diploma, or Course in Hospitality or related field preferred.
• PIC Level 2 certification or equivalent as required by local regulations.

The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality hot and cold beverages while delivering exceptional customer service. The role ensures beverage quality standards are maintained, supports daily operations, and contributes to creating memorable guest experiences through efficient, friendly, and professional service.

ROLE PROFILE

• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages according to brand recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
• Provide prompt, friendly, and personalized service to all guests.

• Monitor stock levels and report shortages, wastage, or operational concerns to supervisors.
• Minimize wastage by following approved recipes, portion controls, and operational procedures.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain all beverage equipment and utensils.
• Support team members and communicate guest requests or special requirements to management.
• Maintain knowledge of beverage ingredients, preparation methods, garnishes, and presentation standards.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
• Follow operational procedures, service standards, and company policies at all times.
• Support sales initiatives through effective product recommendations and upselling techniques.
• Contribute to positive guest experiences and support achievement of customer satisfaction and NPS targets.

REQUIREMENTS

• 0-1 years of experience in a hospitality, food & beverage, retail, entertainment, or customer-facing environment.
• Basic knowledge of beverage preparation, coffee-making techniques, and customer service standards is preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality standards.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, integrity, and excellent grooming standards.
• Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

• Person In Charge (PIC) Level 2 certification or equivalent as required by local regulations.
