Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie to join the Bakery team. You will contribute to delivering exceptional baked goods and maintain the highest standards of taste, presentation, and safety. The role reports to Chef de Partie.

Based in Dubai, the position requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience in bakery within a luxury hotel or fine dining setting, with strong baking, dough handling, and HACCP knowledge. English communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; formal culinary training is an advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as Demi Chef de Partie in bakery within a 5-star hotel or high-end restaurant.
• Solid baking knowledge including dough handling, proofing, and finishing.
• Strong HACCP and food safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing and baking high-quality bread, pastries, and other items.
• Follow recipes precisely to ensure consistency and quality.
• Monitor stock levels and request replenishments to minimise waste.
• Collaborate with team on new recipes and baked goods development.
• Support broader kitchen operations and cross-functional tasks as needed.
• Uphold health, food safety, and hygiene standards per hotel policies and UAE regulations.
