Job summary

Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort invites a motivated bakery/culinary professional to join our kitchen team. You will assist in the preparation and service of bakery items, work with ovens and mixers, and uphold our high standards of food hygiene and portion control.

Experience in hotel or restaurant bakery is an advantage; knowledge of bread, pastries, and basic desserts, plus strong teamwork and attention to detail, will help you thrive in a fast-paced resort environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a hotel, restaurant, or professional bakery is an advantage.
• Knowledge of bread, rolls, cakes, cookies, pastries, and basic desserts.
• Ability to measure ingredients accurately and follow standard recipes.
• Basic knowledge of dough preparation, mixing, proofing, and baking.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food hygiene standards.
• Proper handwashing, sanitization, and personal grooming.
• Correct food labeling, date marking, temperature control, and FIFO stock rotation.
• Safe handling of bakery equipment and ingredients.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and service of food and mise-en-place.
• Maintain hygienic working areas and follow food safety guidelines.
• Adhere to food preparation and presentation guidelines.
• Support in events, banquets and functions.
• Adhere to personal hygiene, fire safety and health rules.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
• Maintain and oversee adherence to departmental checklists.
