Job summary

CargoX is seeking an On-road Safety Operator for autonomous delivery vehicles in the UAE. You will monitor vehicle behaviour, intervene as needed, and ensure safe operations across indoor and outdoor settings.

Responsibilities include supervising autonomous vehicles per SOPs and UAE laws, performing pre- and post-trip checks, and coordinating with dispatch, engineering, and remote ops teams. Night shifts and rotating schedules required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of driving experience in the UAE with a valid UAE driving license and clean record.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to work night shifts, rotating schedules, weekends and public holidays.
• Flexible to indoor and outdoor operational roles based on business needs.
• Basic proficiency with smartphones, tablets, and apps; strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate and supervise autonomous delivery vehicles per company SOPs and UAE traffic laws.
• Monitor vehicle performance in real time; take manual control when needed to maintain safety.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; verify cleanliness, functionality, and deployment readiness.
• Report incidents, near misses, vehicle faults, and operational anomalies promptly and accurately.
• Support vehicle deployment, retrieval, charging, and routine maintenance activities.
• Document operations and coordinate with dispatch, engineering, and remote operations teams.
• Perform both indoor duties and outdoor duties as assigned by management.
