Job summary

CargoX is seeking an On-road Safety Operator for autonomous delivery vehicles in the UAE. You will monitor vehicle behaviour, intervene as needed, and ensure safe operations across indoor and outdoor settings.

Responsibilities include supervising autonomous vehicles per SOPs and UAE laws, performing pre- and post-trip checks, and coordinating with dispatch, engineering, and remote ops teams. Night shifts and rotating schedules required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of driving experience in the UAE with a valid UAE driving license and clean record.
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to work night shifts, rotating schedules, weekends and public holidays.
• Flexible to indoor and outdoor operational roles based on business needs.
• Basic proficiency with smartphones, tablets, and apps; strong safety awareness.

• Perform both indoor duties and outdoor duties as assigned by management.

• Support vehicle deployment, retrieval, charging, and routine maintenance activities
• Document operations and coordinate with dispatch, engineering, and remote operations teams
• Perform both indoor duties (monitoring, reporting, remote ops support) and outdoor duties (field deployment, on-road supervision, vehicle inspection) as assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 3 years of driving experience in the UAE with a valid UAE driving license and clean
• record
• Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
• Must be willing and able to work night shifts, rotating schedules, weekends, and public holidays
• Must be flexible to take on both indoor and outdoor operational roles based on business needs
• Basic proficiency using smartphones, tablets, and mobile applications Strong safety awareness with excellent attention to detail; calm and decisive under pressure

PREFERRED

• Own vehicle for commuting to the Khalifa City operational site
• Experience in logistics, fleet operations, delivery services, ride-hailing, or commercial driving Experience with ADAS or autonomous vehicle operations
• Basic understanding of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and troubleshooting
