Job summary

ABS METALS CUTTING LLC in Abu Dhabi seeks an AutoCAD Designer to join our precision-focused team. You will create accurate 2D and 3D drawings, read blueprints and client specs, and ensure designs are production-ready for metal fabrication.

The role requires 2–3 years of AutoCAD experience in metal fabrication or engineering, strong attention to detail, and collaboration with production and operations. Knowledge of SolidWorks or other 3D software is a plus, and familiarity with nesting or cutting

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience as an AutoCAD Designer in metal fabrication, manufacturing or engineering.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks or other 3D software is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of sheet metal materials, cutting tolerances, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and convert them into production-ready files.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD.
• Read, interpret, and review blueprints, technical drawings and client specifications.
• Revise and update existing drawings based on design changes, improvements and production requirements.
• Work closely with production and operations teams to ensure designs are practical, accurate, and production-ready.
• Prepare and maintain organized drawing documentation and file systems.
• Ensure all designs comply with technical standards, tolerances, and available production capabilities.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a talented and detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer to join our dynamic and innovative technical design team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create accurate 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD
• Read, interpret, and review blueprints, technical drawings and client specifications.
• Revise and update existing drawings based on design changes, improvements and production requirements.
• Work closely with production and operations teams to ensure designs are practical, accurate, and production-ready.
• Prepare and maintain organized drawing documentation and file systems.
• Ensure all designs comply with technical standards, tolerances, and available production capabilities.

Skills

Required Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of experience as an AutoCAD Designer in metal fabrication, manufacturing or engineering

Preferred Skills (Bonus Points):

• Experience preparing files for CNC laser cutting, vgrooving, bending, perforation and etc.
• Knowledge of nesting software and cutting optimization tools
• Familiarity with TRUMPF or DURMA machinery
