Job summary

Tanqeeb in Dubai is seeking a Sheet Metal Detailer to create detailed fabrication drawings and plans based on architectural or engineering designs, and develop 3D models and 2D layouts with CAD software.

You will interpret blueprints, ensure compliance with standards, and collaborate with engineers, architects and fabricators to resolve design issues, revise drawings, and maintain clear project documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical diploma in drafting, engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Detailer, or in a related detailing/drafting position.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other relevant programs).
• Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and architectural/engineering plans.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards for sheet metal design and fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed fabrication drawings and plans for sheet metal fabrication, based on architectural or engineering designs.
• Develop 3D models and 2D layout drawings using CAD software, ensuring precision and adherence to project requirements.

• Ensure that drawings meet industry standards and project specifications.

• Make revisions to drawings as needed based on project feedback or changes in specifications.
• Ensure that drawings incorporate all necessary details for material specifications, dimensions, tolerances, and welding or assembly instructions.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
• Assist in troubleshooting design and manufacturing challenges that arise during the fabrication process.
