Job summary

Tanqeeb in Ajman, United Arab Emirates, is seeking an AutoCAD drafter to prepare 2D fabrication drawings for steel structures and related products. You will read engineering drawings, convert site measurements into fabrication details, and coordinate with production to ensure accuracy.

Ideal candidates have proven AutoCAD drafting experience in steel fabrication with knowledge of laser cutting, bending and CNC fabrication. The role requires independence and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Proven AutoCAD drafting experience, preferably in steel fabrication or metal works.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D AutoCAD fabrication and shop drawings.
• Prepare drawings for steel structures, handrails, bollards, gratings, cable trays, cable ladders, metal pallets, slotted channels and other fabricated products.
• Read and understand engineering drawings, sketches, dimensions and specifications.
• Convert site measurements and design requirements into accurate fabrication drawings.
• Prepare cutting, bending and fabrication details for production.
• Coordinate with the production and fabrication teams to ensure drawings are practical and accurate.
• Make revisions and modifications to drawings as required.
• Ensure all drawings meet project specifications and required dimensions.
• Prepare drawings suitable for laser cutting and CNC fabrication where required.
• Maintain proper documentation and drawing records.

5. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
