Job summary

ABS METALS CUTTING LLC in Dubai is seeking an AutoCAD Designer to produce precise 2D drawings and 3D models for metal fabrication. You will read blueprints, review specifications, and ensure designs are production-ready.

Collaborate with production and operations to validate tolerances, maintain drawing documentation, and update files as designs evolve. Candidates should have 2–3 years' experience in metal fabrication, strong AutoCAD 2D skills, and familiarity with SolidWorks.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience as an AutoCAD Designer in metal fabrication, manufacturing or engineering.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks or other 3D software is an advantage.
• Solid understanding of sheet metal materials, cutting tolerances, and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and convert them into production-ready files.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create accurate 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD.
• Read, interpret, and review blueprints, technical drawings and client specifications.
• Revise and update existing drawings based on design changes, improvements and production requirements.
• Work closely with production and operations teams to ensure designs are practical, accurate, and production-ready.
• Prepare and maintain organized drawing documentation and file systems.
• Ensure all designs comply with technical standards, tolerances, and available production capabilities.
