Job summary

Litco Industries is seeking a Senior AutoCAD Draftsman with strong experience in metal fabrication. The role focuses on creating precise 2D and 3D drawings for structural and non-structural metal works, including shop, fabrication, and installation drawings.

The candidate should review drawings, coordinate with clients and teams, and ensure all drawings meet project requirements. GCC project exposure is preferred, and steel fabrication expertise is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for structural and non-structural metal works.
• Develop detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, installation drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Prepare drawings for steel structures, architectural metalwork, staircases, handrails, balustrades, railings, gates, canopies, screens, louvers, ladders, and metal cladding.
• Interpret drawings and convert them into fabrication-ready drawings.
• Prepare plans, elevations, sections, dimensions, material specifications, connection details, cutting details, and installation details.
• Independently review project requirements and propose practical technical solutions.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contracts/commercial teams for requirements and revisions.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, production, fabrication, procurement, and site teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements.
• Review contract documents and ensure accurate detailing and scope compliance.
• Manage drafting tasks, prioritize projects, and meet submission deadlines.
• Support and coordinate with junior draftsmen and team members.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and technical documentation.

Litco Industries is looking for a highly experienced and technically strong Senior AutoCAD Draftsman with relevant experience in metal fabrication and detailing. The ideal candidate must have hands‑on experience in both structural and non-structural metal works and be capable of working independently while coordinating effectively with project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate 2D and 3D AutoCAD drawings for structural and non-structural metal works.
• Develop detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, installation drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Prepare drawings for steel structures, architectural metalwork, staircases, handrails, balustrades, railings, gates, canopies, screens, louvers, ladders, metal cladding, and other fabricated components.
• Handle drawings related to steel and associated metalwork projects.
• Interpret architectural, structural, consultant, and engineering drawings and convert them into detailed, fabrication‑ready drawings.
• Prepare plans, elevations, sections, dimensions, material specifications, connection details, cutting details, and installation details.
• Independently review project requirements, identify drawing discrepancies, and propose practical technical solutions.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and the contracts/commercial team to clarify project requirements, technical specifications, scope of work, drawing submissions, and necessary revisions.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, production, fabrication, procurement, and site installation teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements.
• Review contract documents, specifications, approved drawings, and relevant project information to ensure accurate detailing and scope compliance.
• Manage assigned drafting tasks independently, prioritize multiple projects, and meet submission and project deadlines.
• Support and coordinate with junior draftsmen and team members when required.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and technical documentation.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Drafting, Architectural Drafting, or a related technical field.
• 6–12 years of relevant professional experience as an AutoCAD Draftsman, Senior Draftsman, Metal Works Draftsman, or Fabrication Draftsman.
• Mandatory hands‑on experience in steel fabrication and metal works.
• Strong experience in structural or non-structural metalwork drawings.
• Relevant project exposure in steel, aluminium, glass, façade, fit‑out, mechanical or similar construction and fabrication industries.
• Proven experience preparing shop drawings, fabrication details, installation drawings, and technical submissions.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, engineering, and consultant drawings.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• GCC project experience will be preferred.
