Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Dubai seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to supervise electrical installation works, oversee DC cabling, inverters, transformers, MV/LV systems, and earthing, and ensure compliance with drawings and project specs.

You will coordinate with EPC teams, conduct site inspections, review ITPs and submittals, support testing and commissioning, and maintain thorough technical records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8–12 years of experience in utility-scale Solar PV/EPC projects.
• Knowledge of DC/AC systems, inverters, transformers, MV/LV systems, switchgear, protection and earthing.
• Experience in electrical testing and commissioning.
• Ability to read and interpret SLDs, electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• GCC/UAE Solar PV experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installation works for Solar PV projects.

• Review electrical drawings, SLDs, cable schedules, layouts, specifications and technical documents.
• Coordinate with EPC construction, civil, mechanical, QA/QC and commissioning teams.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure works comply with approved designs and project requirements.
• Review method statements, ITPs, RFIs and technical submittals.
• Monitor electrical construction progress and resolve site technical issues.
• Support testing, commissioning, energization and grid-connection activities.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors and other project stakeholders.
• Maintain technical records, inspection reports and handover documentation.
