Job summary

Hydrosen Building Contracting LLC in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead on-site electrical installation for a large-scale utility-scale solar PV project.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical engineering, UAE driving license, IEC standards knowledge, and the ability to review drawings, supervise DC/AC systems, inverters, transformers and LV equipment, and coordinate with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Proven experience in utility-scale centralized solar PV projects.
• Strong PV electrical installation and site construction experience.
• Experience with DC/AC systems, LV, inverters, transformers, cables, earthing and testing and commissioning.
• Good knowledge of IEC standards, approved drawings and electrical specifications.
• Valid UAE Driving License.
• Valid Electrical Engineer certificate.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise daily electrical installation works at the PV site.
• Supervise installation of PV modules, DC cables, AC cables, inverters, transformers, LV equipment and earthing systems.
• Review electrical drawings, specifications and Method Statements.
• Coordinate with the Client, Consultant, EPC Contractor and subcontractors.
• Monitor electrical installation progress and ensure compliance with approved drawings and project requirements.
• Coordinate inspection, testing, commissioning and energization activities.
• Prepare and follow up RFI, inspection records, testing reports and punch-list closure.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during construction.
• Ensure electrical works comply with UAE regulations, IEC standards and project specifications.
• Support testing, commissioning and final project handover.

Job description
