Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering in Dubai seeks an experienced Electrical Construction Lead for solar PV EPC projects. You will supervise installation activities, coordinate with multiple disciplines, review drawings and ensure compliance with project requirements on site.

The role requires strong knowledge of DC/AC systems, inverters, MV/LV gear, switchgear and earthing, plus experience reading SLDs and technical specs. GCC/UAE solar familiarity is preferred, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components used in utility-scale solar EPC projects.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, SLDs, cable schedules and technical specs.
• Experience with QA/QC and HSE requirements on construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installation works for Solar PV projects.
• Oversee DC cabling, string connections, combiner boxes, inverters, transformers, MV/LV systems, switchgear, and earthing.
• Review electrical drawings, SLDs, cable schedules, layouts and technical documents.
• Coordinate with EPC, construction, civil, mechanical, QA/QC and commissioning teams.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure works comply with approved designs and project requirements.
• Review method statements, ITPs, RFIs and technical submittals.
• Monitor electrical construction progress and resolve site technical issues.
• Support testing, commissioning, energization and grid-connection activities.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors and other stakeholders.
• Maintain technical records, inspection reports and handover documentation.

• Good knowledge of DC/AC systems, inverters, transformers, MV/LV systems, switchgear, protection and earthing.
• Experience in electrical testing and commissioning preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret SLDs, electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• GCC/UAE Solar PV experience preferred.
