You will join the MENA Venture Capital & Growth team within UAE Diversified Assets, supporting sourcing, due diligence, and execution while developing an origination capability and network across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Engineering, CS or related quantitative field (MBA/Master’s can be preferred).
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant investment experience in banks, growth equity, private equity, venture capital, corporate development or a related environment in UAE/MENA.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation ability; independent review from day one.

Responsibilities

• Assess growth opportunities and Mubadala's position across stages of growth.
• Develop origination capability by evaluating new investments with companies, funds and partners.
• Support end-to-end deal execution including due diligence, financial models and valuation.
• Monitor portfolio performance and report updates for investment committees.
• Manage relationships with founders, fund managers, co-investors and advisory ecosystem.
• Grow as an investment professional alongside senior colleagues.

What you will do:

You'll join the MENA Venture Capital & Growth team within the UAE Diversified Assets unit of our UAE Investments platform – a growing platform that identifies, invests in and supports leading technology-enabled businesses and investment managers across the UAE and broader MENA region. Focused on our growth mandate – currently investing in established, later-stage technology-enabled companies with a strong UAE presence – you'll work across direct company and fund investments in AI, fintech, enterprise software, consumer technology, digital health, mobility and other technology-enabled sectors. Great looks like hitting the ground running on valuation and opportunity reviews, helping the team execute a busy pipeline and deliver attractive risk-adjusted returns while creating strategic value for Mubadala.

• Investment Strategy: understand our growth mandate, market dynamics and Mubadala's position, and use this insight to assess companies, fund managers, markets and investment structures across different stages of growth.
• Business Development: participate in evaluating new investment opportunities and, as you spend time with companies, funds and partners, build your own origination capability over time.
• Deal Execution: support senior team members to execute transactions end to end – commercial, strategic and financial due diligence, financial models and valuation analyses, investment committee materials and transaction execution.
• Asset Management: monitor the existing portfolio, conduct performance reviews and prepare updates for senior management and investment committees, working with portfolio companies and fund managers on value creation – from strategic initiatives, business development and governance to ecosystem connectivity and co-investment opportunities.
• Stakeholder Management: represent Mubadala with founders, management teams, fund managers, co-investors, advisors and the wider entrepreneurial, corporate and investment ecosystem.
• Self Leadership: develop yourself to progress as an investment professional, working alongside senior colleagues and growing your contribution to Mubadala while supporting others to improve their performance.

What will you bring:

To succeed within this role, you will bring a strong mix of practical experience, technical skills and business skills, including:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant quantitative discipline. Or Preferred MBA, Master’s in Finance, or another relevant postgraduate qualification.
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience gained in investment banking at a leading institution, growth equity, private equity, venture capital, corporate development or a related investment environment. [
• Very strong technical capability – financial modelling, valuation and the ability to review opportunities independently from day one.
• Prior experience evaluating technology companies or growth-stage investments, or managing investment portfolios in the UAE and MENA region, is highly advantageous; we welcome candidates from outside the region.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated interest in technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.
• Sound commercial judgement, intellectual curiosity and attention to detail, with the ability to build trusted relationships across the ecosystem.
• You will have the following business skills: strategic thinker, analytical thinking, problem solving, resilient, emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, results focused.
• You will be a team player with high standards of business ethics and a drive to deliver, innovate and improve, whilst building strong partnerships within and outside Mubadala.
