Job summary

Standard Chartered is seeking an Associate in Structured Trade Solutions Development (MEA) to support transactors in achieving revenue targets, pipeline submission, and monthly reviews. The role includes drafting memos, client proposals, and pricing, while coordinating with legal, compliance, and risk teams to ensure robust, compliant trade finance structures.

Qualifications

Knowledge of trade products.
Broad banking experience with exposure to clients in Africa and/or Middle East.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with SST transactors to develop structures and prepare pitch books / responses to RfPs to meet clients financing needs.
Assist in identifying explicit and implied client needs, engaging key influencers and decision makers, developing solutions and leading proposals and pitches to clients.
Coordinate with in-house legal and external counsel to ensure robust documentation in line with bank requirements.
Manage risk by preparing pre-screening memos and credit memos with clear deal structure and revenue economics.
Maintain MIS and prepare reports for senior management reviews.
