Job summary

Majid Al Futtaim is seeking an Associate Manager - DC Inventory in Dubai, UAE. You will lead the Distribution Centre's inventory control, drive accuracy, reduce losses and ensure reliable records across inbound, storage, and outbound processes.

You will manage a team, optimize stock levels, implement FIFO/FEFO/LIFO where appropriate, and collaborate with procurement and logistics to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 6 years of managerial experience in inventory management or related operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead inventory control operations across the Distribution Centre, maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy while reducing stock discrepancies and losses.
• Oversee daily activities covering goods receiving, stock management, replenishment, order allocation, order preparation, outbound dispatch, and shipment invoicing.
• Manage inventory tracking processes, cycle counts, physical stock audits, inventory adjustments, and related controls to maintain accurate records.
• Monitor inventory performance, stock aging, shortages, shrinkage, losses, and supplier compliance with Distribution Centre requirements.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement measures.
• Maintain accurate inventory master data, operating parameters, and system configurations within the Warehouse Management System.
• Apply appropriate inventory management principles, including FIFO, FEFO, and LIFO, according to operational requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, increase productivity, resolve system-related issues, and reduce inventory management costs.
• Maintain effective controls for order allocation, inbound receiving, stock management, and outbound dispatch to support required service levels.
• Ensure goods are received, stored, secured, handled, and distributed in accordance with applicable safety, security, and hygiene standards.
• Monitor compliance with company policies, financial procedures, budgets, security requirements, and operational controls.
• Coordinate with relevant functions to support Distribution Centre performance and wider business objectives.
