Job summary

Currie & Brown in Dubai seeks an Associate (Cost Management - Post Contract) to lead post contract cost management for key clients. You will guide a team, ensure quality delivery of assignments, and manage resources, costs and schedules to protect project margins.

The ideal candidate has a QS degree and, ideally, MRICS, with experience in a global consultancy and in the Middle East. Strong report writing and communication skills are essential for client-facing work.

Qualifications

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• MRICS membership preferred.
• Experience in a global construction consultancy.

Job description

Currie & Brown is looking for an Associate (Cost Management - Post Contract) to join our team in Dubai.

What will you be doing

• Providing accurate post contract cost management advice to our clients
• Lead a team and provide continuous development
• Delivering assignments competently and professionally
• Managing resources, cost and time effectively to ensure margins are met
• Providing regular feedback to the director on the commissions under your management.
• Representing the company in a professional and diligent manner; meeting, negotiating and corresponding with clients to form strong working relationships

What do you need

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) is preferred
• Previous technical delivery experience gained within a global construction consultancy
• Middle East experience is preferred
• Good technical report writing, client-facing and communication skills (both internal and external)
• Experience of a variety of sectors is beneficial, but previous experience of Malls / shopping centres is essential
• Experience of managing and leading others within a live project environment
