Job summary

Peergrowth is seeking an Assistant Sales Manager for Tube & Pipe Plant Solutions in Dubai. The role is technical, project-driven and international in scope, coordinating from order through commissioning and after-sales support.

You will own the international spare parts business, respond to new sales inquiries, and travel frequently across GCC, Africa, and other regions to develop opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of relevant experience in tube & pipe mills or industrial machinery.
• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong technical understanding of tube and pipe plant machinery.
• Ability to read customer drawings; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Willingness to undertake frequent international travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead project kick-off meetings with customers and overseas principals.
• Finalize scope, layouts, milestones, inspection points and payment terms.
• Monitor progress against project schedules; coordinate drawings and inspections.
• Track risks, delays and recovery plans; coordinate erection and commissioning.
• Manage warranty and service calls with principal teams; maintain docs.
• Oversee international spare parts business and export/import logistics.
• Prepare pricing, quotations and MIS, sales reports and updates.

Job description

We are looking for an Assistant Sales Manager - Tube & Pipe Plant Solutions to join the client's Dubai team.

This is a technical, project-driven and internationally focused role. You will manage projects from order stage through commissioning and after-sales support, acting as a key point of contact between customers, overseas principals and internal teams.

You will also take ownership of the international spare parts business, support new sales enquiries and travel frequently across GCC, Africa, South America, Central Asia and Eastern Europe.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Order Management

• Lead project kick-off meetings with customers and overseas principals.
• Finalize scope, layouts, delivery milestones, inspection points and payment terms.
• Monitor engineering, manufacturing and dispatch progress against project schedules.
• Coordinate drawing approvals, inspections, shipment and site readiness.
• Track project risks, delays and recovery plans.
• Coordinate erection, commissioning and trial runs.
• Follow up on milestone-linked payments with the accounts team.
• Maintain professional and timely communication with customers.
• Coordinate resolution of technical complaints and breakdowns.
• Manage warranty claims and service call-outs with principal service teams.
• Maintain accurate project and service documentation.

International Spare Parts Business

• Manage the complete spare-parts cycle from enquiry to delivery.
• Identify parts and obtain quotations from overseas principals.
• Prepare pricing and quotations and coordinate order placement.
• Handle export/import documentation and international logistics.
• Maintain the installed-base database.
• Proactively recommend wear parts and critical spares to customers.
• Convert overseas principals' proposals into company format.
• Qualify, grade and follow up on sales enquiries.
• Visit customers and industrial plants to develop opportunities.
• Support exhibitions and customer meetings.
• Prepare MIS, sales reports and project updates.

Product Scope

• Spiral / HSAW Pipe Plants
• LSAW Pipe Plants
• Seamless Pipe Plants
• CTL and Slitting Lines
• Pipe Coating Plants
• Double Jointing & Connector Welding Lines
• Auxiliary Equipment, Tooling & Consumables

Requirements

• 4-5 years of relevant experience in tube & pipe mills, steel plants, rolling mills or industrial machinery.
• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong technical understanding of tube and pipe plant machinery.
• Ability to independently participate in technical specification discussions.
• Ability to read and understand customer drawings; AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Proven project coordination experience across multiple live projects.
• Understanding of quotations, costing, payment terms and Incoterms.
• Knowledge of export/import documentation and international logistics.
• Spare parts sales experience is highly desirable.
• Strong written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and CRM systems.
• Willingness to undertake frequent international travel at short notice.
