Our client is seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Technical Sales Engineer (Piping & Fittings) with expertise in piping systems and pipeline infrastructure. The ideal candidate will act as the technical interface between customers and internal teams, supporting business development activities while ensuring the delivery of technically sound and commercially viable solutions.

This role requires a strong engineering background, the ability to interpret technical drawings using AutoCAD, and experience in either technical sales or pipeline infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing client relationships, preparing technical proposals, and supporting project execution across water, industrial, infrastructure, and energy sectors.

• Engage with clients to understand project requirements and recommend suitable piping and infrastructure solutions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with consultants, contractors, project owners, and end-users.

• Participate in client meetings, technical discussions, and project review sessions.
• Review customer specifications, tender documents, and engineering requirements.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, BOQs, and cost estimates.
• Support tender submissions and pre-qualification documentation.
• Ensure all proposals comply with applicable project specifications and standards.
• Read, interpret, and analyze engineering drawings, P&IDs, piping layouts, GA drawings, and isometrics.
• Utilize AutoCAD for reviewing and understanding project drawings and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to ensure technical accuracy.
• Liaise with design, procurement, project execution, and operations teams.
• Attend site visits, inspections, and technical clarification meetings when required.
• Support project execution teams during the handover stage.
• Provide technical guidance and after-sales support to customers.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities.
• Promote piping products, solutions, and services across target industries.
• Develop strong relationships within the water, infrastructure, industrial, and energy sectors.

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Pipeline Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3-4 years of relevant experience in either Technical/Engineering Sales of piping systems, valves, fittings, HDPE pipes, ductile iron pipes, steel pipes, or related products; OR Pipeline Infrastructure Projects involving site execution, project coordination, estimation, planning, or engineering support functions.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong understanding of piping systems, pipeline infrastructure, and related engineering applications.
• Experience preparing BOQs, estimates, technical submissions, and project proposals.
• Ability to review P&IDs, isometric drawings, and plant layouts.
• Sound knowledge of piping materials, fittings, valves, and engineering standards.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exposure to Water Infrastructure, Water Treatment, Utilities, Industrial Projects, or Oil & Gas sectors preferred.
• Knowledge of ASME, ASTM, API, AWWA, or related piping standards preferred.
• Experience working with EPC contractors, consultants, and government infrastructure projects preferred.
• Familiarity with 3D piping models and plant layout drawings preferred.
• Experience in technical tendering and bid management preferred.
• Strong competencies in Technical Sales Management, Pipeline Engineering Knowledge, AutoCAD Drawing Interpretation, BOQ Preparation & Estimation, Tender & Bid Management, Project Coordination, and Technical Proposal Development.
