Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager for the Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa. You will lead the restaurant team, ensure exceptional service, and uphold luxury brand standards.

You will step in for the Restaurant Manager, supervise service, train staff, and monitor guest satisfaction while maintaining calm, polished hospitality across shift periods. Experience in luxury hotel dining and a hands-on leadership approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in an à la carte restaurant within luxury hotel environment.
• Hands-on leadership style with strong communication and people skills.
• Solid understanding of service operations, guest experience, and basic financial controls.
• Ability to review service and sales performance and contribute to P&L discussions.
• Physically fit to remain on the floor for extended periods.
• Strong literacy skills with reading, writing, and basic maths.
• Flexibility to work evening shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Full compliance with local food safety and alcohol service regulations.
• A warm, polished, and approachable manner that builds trust with guests and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day management of the restaurant and step in for the Restaurant Manager when required.
• Lead from the front to deliver refined, consistent service from the first welcome to the final farewell.
• Ensure every service moment reflects IHG brand standards and the outlet’s service philosophy.
• Supervise, coach, and inspire the team to deliver polished and memorable guest experiences.
• Conduct engaging shift briefings and service energisers, keeping the team informed on VIPs, special occasions, and daily highlights.
• Maintain a strong floor presence, engaging with guests and handling feedback with discretion.
