AECOM seeks a detail-oriented Assist Resident Engineer Dry Utility in Dubai to support the Resident Engineer in overseeing dry utility projects, ensuring efficient design, installation and maintenance of electrical, gas and telecommunications systems.

You will assist in planning, design and implementation, review technical drawings, conduct site inspections, coordinate with contractors and stakeholders, and prepare schedules and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 35 years of experience in dry utility engineering or a related field.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and GIS.
• Strong knowledge of dry utility systems including electrical, gas and telecommunications.
• Familiarity with Dubai/UAE codes and regulations.
• Experience with utility design and installation processes.
• Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
• Strong technical report writing and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.
• Understanding of construction processes and lifecycle management.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multicultural environment.
• Willingness to work onsite and travel as required for project needs.

Responsabilités

• Assist in the planning, design and implementation of dry utility projects.
• Review and analyze technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications and local regulations.
• Collaborate with contractors, utility companies and stakeholders to coordinate project activities.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules, progress reports and technical documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during project execution.
• Support the Resident Engineer in managing project budgets and resources.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality control measures.
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Assist in the development and implementation of best practices for dry utility engineering.
