Minor Hotels' Dukes The Palm Dubai Hotel, part of the Colbert Collection, is seeking an Assistant Pastry Chef to uphold luxury pastry standards. You will lead pastry operations, assist with menu development, and train the pastry team.

The role requires previous large-hotel experience, strong organizational and multitasking skills, and flexibility to work shifts in a fast-paced environment. Pre-opening experience is a plus; you will collaborate with the Pastry Chef to elevate guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pastry and bakery operations, ensuring quality, consistency, presentation, and cost efficiency
• Develop, design, or create new pastry items for the Pastry Kitchen

• Lead and develop the Pastry team with training and performance management
• Collaborate on refined menus, standardized recipes, and innovative offerings
• Enforce strict health and hygiene standards

We are currently looking for an Assistant Pastry Chef

Responsibilities

• Oversee pastry and bakery operations, ensuring exceptional quality, consistency, presentation, and cost efficiency in line with luxury standards.
• Develops, designs, or creates new ideas and items for Pastry Kitchen.
• Follows proper handling and right temperature of all food products.
• Maintains food preparation handling and correct storage standards.
• Recognizes superior quality products, presentations and flavor.
• Assists the Pastry Chef with menu development
• Leads and develops the Pastry team through training, coaching, and performance management while upholding the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and service excellence.
• Collaborates with the Pastry Chef to create refined menus, standardized recipes, and innovative offerings that elevate the guest experience.
• Enforce strict health and hygiene standards
• Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation

Experience

• Previous experience in a large hotel with at least 500 keys in a luxury property required
• Pre-opening experience is an advantage
