Minor Hotels is seeking a Head Bartender for Dukes The Palm Dubai Hotel. This role requires leading a high-volume luxury beverage operation, training bartending staff, and maintaining top-quality cocktails in a fast-paced setting.

Experience in a large luxury property (500+ keys) and pre-opening exposure are assets. Strong communication, flexibility for shifts, and a focus on service excellence are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as Head Bartender.
• Experience in a large luxury hotel (500+ keys) is required.
• Pre-opening experience is an advantage.
• Active listening and effective communication skills.
• Flexibility to work in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly training sessions on beverage pouring, cocktail mixing, bottle flaring, and upselling.
• Supervise and train bartending staff.
• Create and update cocktail menus.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Manage bar inventory and place orders as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve complaints.
• Monitor and control beverage costs.
• Ensure consistent quality of all drinks served.
• Promote a positive and professional work environment.
• Handle guest complaints directly or refer them to the Bar Manager.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly training sessions on beverage pouring practice, cocktail mixing, bottle flaring, and upselling
• Supervise and train bartending staff
• Create and update cocktail menus
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Manage bar inventory and place orders as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve complaints
• Monitor and control beverage costs
• Ensure consistent quality of all drinks served
• Promote a positive and professional work environment
• Handle guest complaints directly or refer them to the Bar Manager
• Perform all necessary tasks to service beverages according to the hotel standard

Experience

• Previous experience in a large hotel with at least 500 keys in a luxury property is required
• Pre-opening experience is an advantage
