Job summary

Active Fitness Store Llc. in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to lead the finance and accounts team, oversee reporting, budgeting and cash flow, and ensure VAT compliance.

You will collaborate with management and auditors to drive financial performance. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, 8+ years in finance, strong leadership, ERP experience, and mastery of MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and supervise the finance and accounts team ensuring effective coordination and performance.
• Prepare, analyze and present accurate financial reports, budgets, forecasts and financial statements.
• Oversee financial planning, cash flow management and cost control.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial records and compliance with applicable financial regulations.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decision‑making.
• Coordinate effectively with internal departments, banks, external auditors and other stakeholders.
• Take full ownership of financial operations and ensure the timely completion of all responsibilities.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable VAT regulations, tax requirements and financial reporting standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial performance, control costs and enhance operational efficiency.
• Support senior management in strategic financial planning and business growth.
• Communicate financial information clearly and effectively to management and relevant stakeholders.
• Lead and motivate the finance team, delegate responsibilities and ensure accountability and professional development.
• Prepare and present clear, accurate and timely financial reports, management reports and performance analysis.
