Job summary

Client of Aventus Global Talent is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, planning and compliance for the business. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information and provide management with meaningful analysis to support strategic decisions.

The role encompasses IFRS compliance, VAT and taxation oversight, month-end and year-end closes, and the development of robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent.
• 8+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
• Strong IFRS knowledge, taxation, budgeting, financial reporting and controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and close processes.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to support business decisions.
• Ensure VAT and regulatory tax compliance and coordinate with regulators and auditors.
• Provide senior management with high-quality management reports and financial insights.

Role Overview We are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead the financial reporting accounting budgeting planning and compliance functions of the business The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company s financial information while providing management with meaningful financial analysis and insight to support strategic and operational decision-making

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting amp Accounting
  Oversee the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statementsEnsure compliance with IFRS and all applicable regulatory and accounting requirementsReview and approve journal entries reconciliations and accounting recordsLead the month-end and year-end financial close processesEnsure the accuracy completeness and integrity of the general ledgerMaintain strong financial controls and accounting policies across the business
• Budgeting amp Financial Planning
  Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting exercisesMonitor financial performance against budget and provide detailed variance analysisProvide management with financial insights recommendations and performance analysisSupport long-term financial planning and strategic business initiativesWork closely with senior stakeholders to understand financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement
• Compliance amp Taxation
  Ensure compliance with VAT and other applicable tax regulationsOversee tax filings submissions and related regulatory reportingMaintain and enhance financial policies procedures and internal controlsCoordinate with auditors tax advisers and regulatory authorities as requiredEnsure the business remains compliant with relevant financial and regulatory requirements
• Management Reporting amp Financial Analysis
  Prepare high-quality financial reports dashboards and management information for senior leadershipAnalyse financial performance trends and key business KPIsSupport reporting to the Board Audit Committee and senior managementProvide financial analysis and modelling to support business cases and strategic initiativesTranslate financial data into clear commercially relevant insights and recommendations

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• A professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent
• At least 8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, taxation, budgeting, financial reporting and financial controls
• Proven experience managing financial reporting and month-end/year-end processes
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills
• The ability to work effectively with senior management and provide commercially focused financial advice
• A hands-on and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
