Job summary

Jumeirah Al Naseem in Dubai is seeking an Assistant Engineering Manager - Engineering to join from October 2026. You will assist in planning maintenance strategies, supervise daily operations, and coordinate with vendors to ensure high availability of critical equipment.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in engineering operations within luxury hospitality and 2–3 years in a leadership role, plus a Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree and health and safety certification.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a leadership role.
• Health and safety certification; Bachelor’s or higher in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engineering strategies, preventive maintenance schedules, and energy-saving initiatives.
• Supervise daily operations, ensuring timely completion of work orders and SOP adherence.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring cost-effective procurement.
• Prepare reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance and budget utilization.
• Support recruitment, training, and development of engineering staff.
• Handle escalated technical issues and coordinate with vendors for repairs.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• Assist in planning and implementing engineering strategies, preventive maintenance schedules, and energy-saving initiatives.
• Supervise daily operations, ensuring timely completion of work orders and adherence to SOPs.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring cost-effective procurement and usage.
• Prepare reports on maintenance activities, equipment performance, and budget utilization.
• Support recruitment, training, and development of engineering staff.
• Handle escalated technical issues and coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years in engineering operations within luxury hospitality, including 2-3 years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
• Health and safety certified
• Formal qualification in an Engineering discipline
