Job summary

Rochester Institute of Technology, Dubai (RIT Dubai) invites applications for an Assets Receiving Officer. The role carries responsibility for receiving, inspecting, registering, tagging, and distributing university assets including furniture, equipment, and ICT gear.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Supply Chain, Logistics, or Administration.
Minimum 2 years of experience in asset management, inventory control, or related operations.
Experience in higher education, public sector, or large corporate environments is advantageous.
Knowledge of asset management principles and inventory control procedures.
Familiarity with ERP and asset/inventory management software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

Receive university assets from suppliers, contractors, and donors.
Verify items against purchase orders, delivery notes, and specifications.
Inspect assets for condition, functionality, and completeness.
Register assets in the asset management system and assign tags/barcodes.
Maintain asset records including serial/model numbers, costs, supplier, warranty, and location.
Coordinate asset transfers to departments and units as needed.
Prepare and maintain asset handover and acceptance documentation.
Generate reports on asset movements and assist audits.
