Job summary

Rochester Institute of Technology, Dubai (RIT Dubai) seeks a proactive Marketing Events Coordinator to support the marketing team as the main contact for internal and external events. You will coordinate exhibitions, conferences, and events at RIT Dubai, liaising with faculty, staff, vendors, and venue management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Business/Marketing/Mass Communications/Hospitality from any reputable university.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in event coordination.
• Attention to details, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Experience in event management and setup.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to details, and strong problem-solving skills are essential.
• Advanced organizational, planning, and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent English command spoken and written.
• Flexibility in working hours including evenings and weekends due to the nature of events.

Responsibilities

• Book and coordinate all external events of RIT Dubai that involve marketing support.
• Assist in setting up external and internal events and coordinate with other departments about their requirements from marketing.
• Follow market trends and help in strategizing for the upcoming academic year by marking events, booking, setting up and coordinating internally with team members involved in those events.
• Assist the team overall when required: inventory management, attending meetings on behalf of marketing department, setting up, social media ideas etc.
