Qualifications

• Two years minimum cooking/kitchen experience in an accredited restaurant or hotel.
• Gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor.
• Multitasking in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or judgment.
• Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables as needed.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes.
• Serve food in proper portions with correct plate appearance.
• Ensure proper food storage areas are clean and compliant with policies.
• Monitor temperatures of appliances and food for safety; report issues.
• Follow HACCP guidelines and food safety policies.
• Maintain knowledge of company Food Safety Programs and regulations.
• Support the Chef during busy periods to ensure optimum service.
• Manage food waste by monitoring quantities and portions.
