Job summary

Gulf Contracting & Landscaping (GCL) seeks an experienced Architect to lead design development and oversee construction drawing reviews for building projects in Dubai. You will coordinate with structural, MEP, and site teams to ensure design intent and compliance with authority regulations.

The role covers from design development through construction and handover, with focus on quality, safety, and timely delivery across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
• 5–8 years of architectural experience on building construction projects.
• UAE/GCC experience preferred.
• Membership with a recognized professional body is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review architectural drawings, shop drawings, and construction details.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other disciplines to resolve design conflicts.
• Review project specifications, BOQs, and material submittals.
• Ensure architectural works comply with project requirements, local authority regulations, and international standards.
• Conduct site inspections to verify work quality and compliance with approved drawings.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers on design-related matters.
• Review RFIs, technical queries, and shop drawing submissions.
• Support material selection and approval processes.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and progress reviews.
• Monitor project progress and provide technical support to site teams.
• Prepare as-built drawings and support project handover documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality requirements throughout project execution.
