Job summary

Gulf Contracting & Landscaping (GCL) seeks an Architect to develop designs and review drawings through construction, ensuring alignment with design intent and project specs.

You will coordinate with consultants and site teams, review RFIs and shop drawings, and support handover documentation while upholding health, safety, and quality requirements across projects in the UAE. UAE/GCC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Educational background in architecture is required.
• Proven ability to coordinate disciplines and resolve design conflicts.
• Knowledge of local authority regulations and standards.
• Membership with a recognized professional body is an advantage.

Responsibilities

The Architect is responsible for developing architectural designs, reviewing construction drawings, coordinating with consultants and site teams, and ensuring building projects are executed in accordance with design intent, project specifications, authority regulations, and quality standards. The role supports projects from design development through construction and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review architectural drawings, shop drawings, and construction details.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to resolve design conflicts.
• Review project specifications, BOQs, and material submittals.
• Ensure architectural works comply with project requirements, local authority regulations, and international standards.
• Conduct site inspections to verify work quality and compliance with approved drawings.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers on design-related matters.
• Review RFIs, technical queries, and shop drawing submissions.
• Support material selection and approval processes.
• Participate in design coordination meetings and progress reviews.
• Monitor project progress and provide technical support to site teams.
• Prepare as-built drawings and support project handover documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality requirements throughout project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 5–8 years of architectural experience on building construction projects.
• UAE/GCC experience is highly preferred.
• Membership with a recognized professional body is an advantage.
