Job summary

Raffles Dubai is seeking a Commis I in Arabic Kitchen to cook food daily according to business requirements and luxury standards.

You will work closely with the Chef de Partie, ensure mise-en-place, portion control, and maintain a pristine workstation while delivering hospitality excellence in a five-star environment.

Minimum 1 year of food and beverage serving experience is preferred; English proficiency and a team-focused attitude are necessary to thrive in this luxury setting.

Responsibilities

• Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform.
• Organize shift with Chef de Partie for mise-en-place and service.
• Take orders from Chef de Partie and execute correctly.
• Record daily dry store, food requisitions and kitchen transfers for approvals.
• Maintain good employee relations and motivate colleagues.
• Adhere to portion size, quantity and quality as per recipe index.
• Complete daily mise-en-place and food storage checklists.
• Attend meetings with the Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef.
• Report machinery issues and follow up on repairs.
• Keep the section clean and tidy and pass information to next shift.
• Log accidents and sickness; assist in new recipes and menu ideas.
• Adhere to fire, hygiene and safety policies.
