Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Quality Inspector to oversee building maintenance works, ensure safety, quality and compliance with specifications. You will identify defects, prepare NCRs, and drive corrective actions across maintenance, engineering, facilities and HSE teams.

You should have 3–5 years UAE experience in quality inspection and strong knowledge of building maintenance and MEP works. Excellent documentation and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Building Maintenance and MEP works.
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand maintenance specifications.
• Good knowledge of quality control procedures, inspections, snagging and defect rectification.
• Good communication, reporting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct general inspection for building maintenance works for quality, workmanship, safety and functionality.
• Identify and report defects, non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, NCRs and quality records.
• Monitor maintenance teams to ensure work meets quality, safety and technical standards.
• Inspect materials, spare parts, fixtures and equipment to verify compliance with specs.
• Verify quality of preventive and corrective maintenance and document accordingly.
• Check completed works for installation, alignment, finishing, functionality and workmanship.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Engineering, Facilities and HSE teams on identified quality issues.
• Monitor recurring defects and assist in root cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Review maintenance records and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Conduct follow-up inspections to verify corrective actions are closed.
• Maintain organized Quality Control/Quality Assurance documentation system.
• Provide regular feedback on quality performance and improvement areas.
• Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job description

• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and quality records.

• Monitor maintenance teams to ensure work is completed within the required quality, safety, and technical standards.

• Inspect materials, spare parts, fixtures, fittings, and equipment to verify compliance with approved specifications before installation or use.

• Verify the quality of preventive and corrective maintenance activities and ensure proper documentation is maintained.

• Check completed works for proper installation, alignment, finishing, functionality, and workmanship.

• Coordinate with the Maintenance, Engineering, Facilities, and HSE teams regarding identified quality issues and required corrective measures.
