Job summary

Simone's Tutoring in Dubai seeks a highly experienced AP Exams, GPA & IB Diploma Specialist Tutor to guide secondary students toward academic excellence across AP, IB Diploma programmes and GPA improvement.

You will provide strategic academic guidance, subject-specific tutoring, examination preparation, and personalised learning plans to maximise student performance and university readiness. You will assess, design schedules, and support IA/EE/TOK while collaborating with parents and educators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area.
• MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain.
• Minimum 3 years' experience teaching AP, IB Diploma, or advanced secondary curricula.
• Strong knowledge of university preparation pathways.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' academic performance, learning needs, and long-term educational goals
• Deliver personalised tutoring for AP, IB Diploma, and GPA improvement
• Support students with coursework, IA, EE, TOK, and exam preparation where applicable
• Develop personalised study schedules and revision strategies
• Prepare students for AP examinations and IB external assessments
• Monitor academic progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
• Guide students in balancing demanding academic workloads
• Collaborate with parents, school counsellors, and Simone's Tutoring specialists where appropriate

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced AP Exams, GPA & IB Diploma Specialist Tutorto support secondary students pursuing academic excellence across Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), and GPA improvement programmes.

You will provide strategic academic guidance, subject-specific tutoring, examination preparation, and personalised learning plans to maximise student performance and university readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess students' academic performance, learning needs, and long-term educational goals
• Deliver personalised tutoring for AP, IB Diploma, and GPA improvement
• Support students with coursework, Internal Assessments (IA), Extended Essay (EE), Theory of Knowledge (TOK), and exam preparation where applicable
• Develop personalised study schedules and revision strategies
• Prepare students for AP examinations and IB external assessments
• Monitor academic progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
• Guide students in balancing demanding academic workloads
• Collaborate with parents, school counsellors, and Simone's Tutoring specialists where appropriate

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area
• MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain
• Minimum 3 years' experience teaching AP, IB Diploma, or advanced secondary curricula
• Strong knowledge of university preparation pathways

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education or subject specialisation
• IB Educator Certificate or AP College Board training
• Experience teaching multiple AP subjects or IB Diploma subjects
• University admissions counselling experience

UAE Licensing Requirements

Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.

UAE Visa & Work Eligibility

Applicants must be legally authorised to work in the UAE through one of the following:
