Job summary

Simone's Tutoring seeks an Academic Coach to support students with study skills, goal setting, time management, and subject-specific guidance. The role is freelance/contract and offers flexible scheduling, working from home or at a student’s home or school in Dubai.

You will assess learning styles, deliver personalised coaching, teach exam strategies, and coordinate with tutors and counsellors. UAE licensing and work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or related field
• MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain
• Minimum 2 years academic coaching or tutoring experience
• Strong understanding of secondary or university academic demands

Responsibilities

Role Overview

We are seeking an Academic Coach to support students in developing the skills, strategies, and mindset they need to succeed academically. You will provide holistic academic coaching covering study skills, goal-setting, time management, and subject-specific support.

Key Responsibilities

Assess students' academic strengths, challenges, and learning styles

Provide personalised academic coaching sessions

Teach study skills, note-taking, revision techniques, and exam preparation

Help students set academic goals and track their progress

Support students through exam periods, transitions, and academic pressure

Engage parents in supporting students' academic development

Coordinate with subject tutors and school counsellors

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, or related field

MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain

Minimum 2 years academic coaching or tutoring experience

Strong understanding of secondary or university academic demands

Preferred Qualifications

Academic or ADHD coaching certification

Experience with IB Diploma, IGCSE, or A-Level students

Knowledge of learning styles and cognitive strategies

UAE Licensing Requirements

Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.
