Job summary
Simone's Tutoring in Dubai seeks an experienced IB MYP eAssessment & Diploma Programme tutor to support students across the IB framework. You will deliver personalised, subject-specific tuition and help learners develop inquiry-based thinking, academic writing, and exam techniques for both MYP and Diploma assessments.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, MOHRE Tutor Permit eligibility, and at least 3 years’ IB teaching or tutoring experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in IB-related subjects or Education is required.
- MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain is required for UAE-based in-person sessions.
- Experience with IB MYP/Diploma assessment criteria and command terms is essential.

We are seeking a highly experienced IB MYP eAssessment & IB Diploma Programme Specialist Tutorto support students completing the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme.
The successful candidate will deliver personalised, subject-specific tuition while helping learners develop the conceptual understanding, inquiry skills, academic writing, examination technique, time management, and independent learning habits required for success in IB assessments. The tutor should be confident supporting MYP onscreen examinations, personal projects, interdisciplinary learning, internal assessments, extended essays, Theory of Knowledge, and Diploma Programme external examinations within their areas of expertise.

Assess students’ subject knowledge, academic skills, assessment readiness, and target grades
Deliver personalised tuition for IB MYP and Diploma Programme students
Prepare MYP learners for onscreen eAssessments and subject-specific assessment formats
Teach students how to respond to conceptual, inquiry-based, source-based, data-response, and extended-writing questions
Support MYP interdisciplinary learning and transfer of knowledge across subject areas
Guide students in planning, researching, completing, and reflecting on the MYP Personal Project
Provide subject-specialist support for IB Diploma Programme Standard Level and Higher Level courses
Support Internal Assessments in accordance with IB academic integrity requirements
Guide learners in research, structure, argument development, referencing, and time management
Support the Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge where appropriately qualified
Use IB command terms, assessment criteria, mark schemes, subject guides, and past assessment materials to guide instruction
Develop revision plans and targeted intervention programmes
Conduct timed practice assessments and provide detailed, criterion-referenced feedback
Teach academic integrity, citation, research, and responsible use of sources
Monitor progress and communicate regularly with students and parents
Stay informed about updates to IB subject guides, assessment models, and programme requirements
Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject, Education, or a closely related discipline
MOHRE Tutor Permit or eligibility to obtain
Minimum 3 years’ experience teaching or tutoring within the IB MYP or Diploma Programme
Strong knowledge of IB assessment criteria, command terms, inquiry-based learning, and criterion-referenced assessment
Demonstrated subject expertise in one or more IB disciplines
PGCE, B.Ed., QTS, or recognised teaching qualification
Official IB professional development workshops or IB educator certification
Experience teaching both MYP and Diploma Programme students
Experience as an IB examiner, moderator, workshop leader, curriculum coordinator, or head of department
Experience supporting MYP eAssessment, Personal Project, Internal Assessments, Extended Essay, or Theory of Knowledge
Proven record of helping students improve predicted grades and final examination outcomes
Tutors and educational specialists operating in the UAE are required to hold a valid MOHRE Tutor Permit or equivalent work authorisation. Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, the relevant permit before providing in-person services. Please ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation regulations.
