Job summary

Salt in Dubai is seeking a hands-on Technical Presales Engineer to join the first dedicated pre-sales function for enterprise AI products across the GCC. You will lead from initial technical discovery to proposals and SOWs, working closely with CTO and product teams to shape delivery and customer solutions.

You will combine customer-facing excellence with deep technical capability across AI, telephony, CPaaS, and enterprise software, enabling deployments in cloud, on‑premise, or sovereign

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Pre-Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering or Solutions Architecture.
• Hands-on programming with Python or TypeScript.
• Experience in AI, telecom, CPaaS, contact-centre tech or enterprise software.
• Strong REST API and systems integration knowledge.
• Docker and containerisation experience.
• Linux and command-line proficiency.
• Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, NAT, VPNs, TLS.
• Experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP/Oracle).
• Experience building with LLMs, prompting, RAG and tool calling.
• Understanding of Kubernetes, SSO/OIDC, encryption and network isolation.
• Ability to translate complex tech concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery sessions with customers.
• Map customer environments (telephony, identity, security, infrastructure).
• Build working demos and Proofs of Concept.
• Configure AI voice agents and integrate with customer APIs.
• Work with SIP, telephony and contact-centre platforms.
• Design deployments: cloud, on-premise, sovereign cloud.
• Define integration architecture and performance requirements.
• Size infrastructure and GPUs for workloads and concurrency.
• Run technical workshops with enterprise teams and partners.
• Support RFPs, security assessments and questionnaires.
• Write technical proposals and SOWs with clear scope.
• Collaborate with Product/Engineering to close gaps between needs and product capabilities.
