Job summary

Amana Contracting & Steel Building Company is seeking an AD – Technical Engineer to lead MEP design and engineering excellence across large-scale steel structures. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure code compliance, and deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions from concept through handover.

You will review calculations, coordinate with architects and subcontractors, perform site inspections, and mentor junior engineers while supporting tender reviews and BIM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MEP Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in MEP design and construction, preferably in steel building projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Navisworks for BIM coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review MEP design calculations, drawings, and specifications for steel building projects.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and subcontractors for seamless MEP integration.
• Perform site inspections and supervise installations for design and code compliance.

The AD – Technical Engineer will be a key member of Amana Contracting & Steel Building Companys Technical Management MEP department, driving the engineering excellence of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across large‑scale steel structures. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with local codes, and deliver innovative, cost‑effective solutions from concept through handover.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review MEP design calculations, drawings, and specifications for steel building projects.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and subcontractors to ensure seamless integration of MEP systems.
• Perform site inspections and supervise installations to verify compliance with design and codes.
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions during construction.
• Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and as‑built documentation.
• Conduct value engineering and cost optimization studies.
• Ensure adherence to local regulations, standards, and company quality procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Saudi Arabian building codes and international standards (e.g., IEC, ASHRAE).
• Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and produce technical drawings and specifications.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
• Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
