Job summary
Amana Contracting & Steel Building Company is seeking an AD – Technical Engineer to lead MEP design and engineering excellence across large-scale steel structures. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure code compliance, and deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions from concept through handover.
You will review calculations, coordinate with architects and subcontractors, perform site inspections, and mentor junior engineers while supporting tender reviews and BIM
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in MEP Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years in MEP design and construction, preferably in steel building projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Navisworks for BIM coordination.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review MEP design calculations, drawings, and specifications for steel building projects.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and subcontractors for seamless MEP integration.
- Perform site inspections and supervise installations for design and code compliance.
- Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions during construction.
- Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and as-built documentation.
- Conduct value engineering and cost optimization studies.
- Ensure adherence to local regulations, standards, and company quality procedures.
- Mentor junior engineers and support the technical team.
- Participate in tender reviews and provide technical input for bid proposals.
- Utilize BIM and CAD tools for clash detection and model coordination.
