Job summary

Swissotel Al Ghurair & Swissotel Living Al Ghurair are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Dubai team. You will match purchase orders, validate supplier invoices, and ensure timely payments while enforcing internal controls.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years in AP, a Bachelor’s in accounting or finance, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and accounting systems
• Solid understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting functions
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and supervise AP operations effectively

Responsibilities

• Match authorised Purchase Orders and delivery dockets to supplier invoices and ensure accuracy
• Ensure suppliers’ invoices bear evidence of receipt and approval before posting
• Review accuracy in coding of expenses/invoices
• Perform Supplier’s Statement reconciliation
• Prepare payments to suppliers on a timely basis and optimise discounts
• Maintain Accounts Payable Ledger
• Abide by hotel policies, procedures and relevant legislation
• Report hazards, risks and accidents as required
• Follow Occupational Health & Safety legislation
• Follow directions from Senior Management
