Job summary

Swissotel Al Ghurair in Dubai is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to support the Financial Controller with AP operations. You will match POs to invoices, ensure accurate coding, and process payments promptly while maintaining ledgers and supplier relations.

The role requires 3+ years in a similar position, a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, and strong Excel/accounting system knowledge. Visa costs and flights are covered for selected candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and accounting systems.
• Solid understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting functions.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and supervise AP operations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Match authorised purchase orders and delivery dockets to supplier invoices with accurate calculations.
• Ensure supplier invoices bear evidence of receipt and approval before posting into AP system.
• Review coding accuracy of expenses/invoices and perform supplier statements reconciliation.
• Prepare payments to suppliers timely, maximise credit facilities and discount uptake.
• Maintain the Accounts Payable ledger and ensure compliance with hotel policies and safety rules.
• Produce payment schedules and present cheques with supporting documents for signatures.
• Maintain orderly filing of invoices by supplier and ensure sequential cheque log handling.
