Job summary

Combi Lift Abu Dhabi is seeking an Accounting & Billing Manager to lead accounting operations, governance, and invoicing for complex project logistics. You will drive financial reporting, cost tracking, and billing accuracy across multi-currency projects.

The role requires IFRS knowledge, VAT compliance, and strong ERP experience. Ideal candidate has 7+ years in logistics finance, with 3+ years in a managerial capacity, plus English fluency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; CPA, CMA, or ACCA preferred.
• 7+ years of accounting experience including 3+ years in a managerial role within logistics, freight forwarding, or EPC/project cargo.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and international trade finance.
• Proven experience in multi-currency, milestone-based billing.
• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, CargoWise) and advanced Excel.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills in English; French and/or Arabic are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, general ledger, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with local regulations and IFRS.
• Manage billing schedules based on project milestones and ensure accurate invoicing.
• Track project costs and margins, highlighting overruns or discrepancies.
• Coordinate with project managers, operations, and procurement to validate financial data.
• Ensure VAT, customs rules, and contractual billing compliance.

Your responsibilities

As Accounting & Billing Manager at Combi Lift Abu Dhabi, you will take the lead in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial management for our complex project logistics operations. From overseeing accounting activities to managing billing processes and ensuring contract compliance, your work will directly support the profitability, transparency, and efficiency of our business.

• Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger, and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with local regulations and IFRS
• Manage billing schedules based on project milestones and ensure accurate, compliant invoicing
• Track project costs and margins, highlighting any cost overruns or discrepancies
• Coordinate with project managers, operations, and procurement to validate financial data
• Ensure compliance with VAT, customs rules, and contractual billing requirements
• Monitor outstanding invoices and support collections to improve payment cycles
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls, ensuring audit readiness and preventing errors or fraud
• Promote QHSE compliance in all finance and billing processes

Your profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; CPA, CMA, or ACCA preferred
• 7+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role within logistics, freight forwarding, or EPC/project cargo
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and international trade finance
