Position Title: Accountant

The executive level accountant plays a crucial role in the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This position involves overseeing various accounting tasks, analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and providing guidance to junior staff members. He/ She reports to the finance manager or controller and collaborates with other departments to support the organization's overall financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial activities.
• Payable Accounting & Banking: Responsible for processing payments, managing vendor invoices, ensuring accurate reconciliation of accounts, and maintaining compliance with financial regulations.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial insights and recommendations.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and recommend and implement improvements to streamline operations.
• Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, assisting in their professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• UAE experience is required.
• 5-8 years of experience in accounting roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and standards (GAAP).
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and supervising junior staff.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience in the preparation and filing of tax returns is a plus.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial modeling techniques is desirable.

Salary and Compensation

• Salary Range: AED. 7k to 8k
