Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience as an Accountant.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Experience in construction subcontracting preferred (tile work, plaster, interior fit-out, construction).

Responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor and control company expenses.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and financial risks.
• Track expenses and revenues; manage client payments and aging balances.
• Prepare and file UAE VAT returns and ensure FTA compliance.
• Prepare UAE Corporate Tax filings and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist payroll processing and WPS-related accounting as applicable.
• Maintain records in line with UAE Tax and VAT requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Bookkeeping
• Bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
• Monitor and control company expenses
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and financial risks
• Track expenses and revenues
• Client payments and outstanding balances
• Prepare and file UAE VAT returns and ensure compliance with FTA regulations
• Prepare and file UAE Corporate Tax and ensure compliance with local tax regulations
• Maintain accounting records in accordance with UAE Corporate Tax and VAT requirements
• Assist in payroll processing and WPS-related accounting where applicable
• Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in construction subcontracting, such as tile work, plaster, interior fit-out, construction, or a related industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, financial reporting, UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience as an Accountant
• Bachelor\'s Degree in Commerce
• Knowledge of UAE labour-related financial calculations such as gratuity, leave salary, and payroll is an advantage
