Job summary

Talent Higher in Dubai seeks an experienced Accountant to join its finance team. You will drive month-end close, GL oversight, reconciliations and robust control processes in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 6+ years in accounting, with strong AP/AR, billing and audit coordination experience, plus a Bachelor’s degree. ACCA/CA/CPA/CMA preferred; excellent English and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including at least 2 years in a senior accounting capacity.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, closing, GL management, reconciliations, AP, AR, billing, collections and audit coordination.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• ACCA, CA, CPA, CMA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Strong financial reporting and accounting-software skills.
• Excellent English communication skills and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and review bank, supplier, client, intercompany and control-account reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, client receipts and supplier payments.
• Manage billing across retainers, projects and ad hoc scopes, coordinating with Client Services on billing instructions and purchase-order requirements.
• Maintain aged receivables and collections trackers, following up on outstanding invoices and resolving billing queries.
• Support budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and management reporting.
• Coordinate audit schedules, supporting documentation and auditor queries.
• Ensure compliance with financial controls, statutory requirements and tax obligations.
• Identify and implement improvements across finance processes, reporting and systems.
