Position Overview

GMG is looking for a skilled and reliable A/C Technician to join its maintenance team in Dubai. The role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning and HVAC systems across residential and commercial facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and HVAC equipment repair, ensuring all systems operate safely and efficiently in compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair HVAC systems, including chillers, heat exchangers, and control systems, as assigned by site management.
• Conduct preventive maintenance according to operational manuals, SOPs, and scheduled plans.
• Execute routine technical rounds, report equipment issues, and ensure repairs meet SLA and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot HVAC malfunctions using diagnostic tools and testing devices.
• Repair or replace faulty air conditioning components, refrigerant lines, pumps, and control systems.
• Upgrade, modify, or renovate HVAC systems as instructed to meet operational needs.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on major plant equipment, including chillers and heat exchangers.
• Ensure all tasks comply with health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, if required for emergency repairs or system servicing.

Ideal Profile

• Technical diploma or certification in HVAC or a related mechanical/electrical field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance and repair, preferably within commercial or mixed-use facilities.
• Strong understanding of air conditioning systems, chillers, and mechanical plant operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Familiarity with ASHRAE standards, local building codes, and safety regulations.
• Skilled in using HVAC diagnostic tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Physically fit and capable of working in confined spaces or at height when required.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of managing multiple maintenance tasks independently.
