Job summary

Edge Resourcing is seeking an experienced Department Manager for a flagship luxury retail store in Dubai. You will supervise daily department operations, drive sales targets, coach a team of at least 10 staff, and ensure exceptional customer service, merchandising standards, and stock control.

Fluency in English is essential; Italian or Arabic is a plus. This role requires 3+ years in department leadership within luxury retail, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent training.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years as Department Manager or Assistant Store/Assistant Department Manager.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or any other Bachelor's with supported training.
• Experience in Luxury Retail is a must.
• Ability to lead and work with a team of at least 10 staff.
• Proven ability commercially and operationally.
• Ideally fluent in Italian or Arabic with excellent command of English.

Salary: AED 15,000 – 18,000 Per Month + Benefits (Tax Free Earnings) A prestigious global Luxury retail brand playing a key part in the heart of Dubai’s luxury fashion world is currently looking for a highly experience Department Manager, to join the team in their flagship store. As the Department Manager it will be your responsibility to oversee the total operations of the department ranging from merchandising, sales, customer service, staff development to other day-to-day administrative functions, in order to ensure the effective functioning of the department, achievement of business goals and Enhancement Company’s image in the market.

Job Description

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the department. Review previous days’ sales figures and take proactive initiatives to ensure targets are met. Monitor sales KPI’s to ensure budgets are achieved.
• Monitor staff performance with respect to customer service ensuring that all customers are greeted and met courteously, as well as attended to their needs for information / repairs / alterations etc.
• Guide, coach and train sales people on customer service disciplines. Ensure product knowledge and market / competition intelligence is given as ongoing training.
• Resolve customer issues as required. Build and maintain an accurate customer database.
• Organize the department layout to create the right ambience. Merchandise goods prominently on shelves as per company / brand specifications, use window / visual displays to enhance the appeal. Maintain cleanliness / hygiene at all levels of store operations. Replenish stock daily.
• Verify stock at the beginning and end of each shift, replenish stocks according to season and size. Take a total stock count at least twice a year and monitor compliance with stock transfer procedures, with a view to ensure availability of optimum stocks of the latest items at all times.
