Job Description – Sr. Production Engineer

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Production Engineer to oversee production and fabrication activities at our workshop. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in heavy steel structures, pressure vessels, process skids, and storage tanks, with proven ability to manage production teams and deliver projects safely, efficiently, and as per required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor fabrication and production activities based on project requirements and available resources.
- Prepare job plans and production schedules considering manpower, materials, equipment, and workshop capacity.
- Interpret and review fabrication drawings, isometric drawings, and project specifications.
- Ensure fabrication activities comply with applicable ASME, API, AWS, and project requirements.
- Oversee welding activities including TIG, MIG, SMAW, and SAW processes.
- Ensure correct handling and application of various material grades and specifications.
- Lead and guide a team of 50+ workmen, ensuring efficient manpower utilization and productivity.
- Identify production issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Monitor production progress, productivity, resource utilization, and adherence to project
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
- Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, Estimation, Procurement, and other teams to ensure
- Monitor and achieve applicable productivity norms and production targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5–6 years of relevant production/fabrication experience.
- Strong experience in heavy steel structures, pressure vessels, process skids, and/or storage tanks.
- Good knowledge of ASME, API, and AWS fabrication codes and standards.
- Strong knowledge of TIG, MIG, SMAW, and SAW welding processes.
- Good understanding of material grades, fabrication drawings, and isometric drawings.
- Proven ability to manage and guide 50+ workshop personnel.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good knowledge of HSE requirements and productivity standards.
- Strong coordination, planning, and team management skills.
- Candidates with experience in UAE/GCC fabrication workshops will be preferred.
