We’re seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Manager to lead the technology operations and ensure seamless business continuity. This is a strategic leadership position where you’ll oversee critical IT infrastructure while building and mentoring a high-performing support team.

As the IT Infrastructure Manager, you’ll be the cornerstone of the technology operations, responsible for maintaining 99%+ uptime across all systems while driving continuous improvement initiatives. You’ll work in a dynamic environment where your expertise directly impacts business productivity and growth.

Salary: R60 000 – R70 000 per month.

What You’ll Do:

• Leadership & Team Management
  • Lead and develop a skilled IT Service Desk team of 5 professionals
  • Provide mentorship, training, and career development opportunities
  • Set performance objectives and conduct regular team reviews
  • Foster a customer-centric culture focused on service excellence
• Technical Operations
  • Oversee Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and Exchange systems
  • Manage network infrastructure including Fortigate firewalls, Netgear and Unifi switches
  • Administer Microsoft Office 365 and cloud-based services
  • Implement and maintain robust backup solutions using Veeam and similar technologies
• Service Delivery Excellence
  • Establish and monitor SLA criteria for infrastructure availability and performance
  • Implement ITIL best practices across Incident, Problem, and Change Management
  • Act as escalation point for complex technical issues and service disruptions
  • Conduct regular disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning
• Strategic Infrastructure Management
  • Design and implement resilient infrastructure solutions to minimise downtime
  • Plan and execute hardware/software upgrades and refresh cycles
  • Manage relationships with third-party service providers and vendors
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Requirements:

• Education: Degree or relevant IT certifications
• Certifications: MCSE + Security, Fortinet Certified Professional
• Experience: Minimum 5 years managing similar-sized technical teams
• Leadership: Proven track record of developing high-performing IT teams
• ITIL Knowledge: Deep understanding and practical application of ITIL frameworks

Technical Expertise:

• Windows Infrastructure: Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory design and security
• Networking: Expert-level understanding of networking technologies, firewalls, and load balancers
• Cloud Technologies: Hands-on experience with Office 365 and hybrid cloud environments
• Virtualisation: Solid experience with Hyper-V and virtualised environments
• Security: Strong background in IT security and data protection compliance

Desirable Skills:

• ITIL Service Delivery Manager certification
• PowerShell scripting capabilities
• SharePoint administration experience
• Linux server knowledge
