Job Overview

The position will be based in Wadeville, and the incumbent will report to the Foreman.

Job Specification (not totally inclusive)

• Issuing of all consumables to shop floor artisans, this includes but is not limited to the following tooling, inserts, parts and measuring equipment;
• Traceable records of issued measuring equipment and parts for assembly;
• Usage of a forklift and reach truck for moving components from and to DC and receiving business units;
• Receiving of all goods deliveries, ensure that documentation is sent to the relevant departments for processing purposes;
• Control all consumable stock levels and consignment inventory, ordering of tooling and parts and consumables on low stock levels will be required;
• Assisting vendors with monthly consignment stock count;
• Assisting shop floor employees with parts required and organization of parts to respective production orders;
• General tool store housekeeping and organizing;
• Adhere to 6S housekeeping.
  
  

Qualifications/Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent;
• At least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing environment;
• Knowledge of different sub-assembly parts and tools;
• Knowledge of Matrix Vending Management System would be an advantage;
• Valid driver’s license and transport;
• Valid Forklift driver’s license.
